Sunderland's boards reviewed budget scenarios and South County assessments ahead of possible override vote. The Selectboard and Finance Committee examined multiple budget paths, including one that would eliminate overnight and holiday police coverage. South County Emergency Medical Services assessment for Sunderland rose to $315,527, up $63,000 from fiscal 2026, driven largely by retained earnings used for ambulance purchase.

South County Social Services presented two FY27 budget requests, one contingent on relocating to 112 Amherst Road; the alternative scenario showed a 31.94 percent increase to $72,817.
